Biomass drying methods
Beran, Petr ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with biomass and principle of drying solids, in next part there is a detail research of biomass dryers and final part of thesis deals with balance calculation of drum dryer and a calculation of flue gases properties.
Biomass drying
Straka, Lukáš ; Chroboczek, Libor (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the importace of drying wood biomass and design drying equipment. The challenge is to design a drying line for drying sawdust for subsequent pelleting. Perform the heat balance calculations and suggest the basic dimensions of the drum dryer output of 100 kg/h of sawdust. Finally, the drying after evaluating the technical-economic terms.
Regeneration of heat and water from the exhaust air stream
Jankůj, Tomáš ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with the process of wood drying. It is a method of removing excess water from wood. Drying can be divided into two basic types. The first type is natural drying. The material is dried without the presence of foreign energy source. This type depends only on climatic conditions and the amount of sunlight. Another type is artificial drying, where is pre-sent a foreign energy source, such as a biomass boiler. The second type is significantly faster than the first. The second type of drying uses a device called a wood dryer. There are a lot of types of wood dryers, the most widely used are kiln dryer, belt dryer, rotary drum dryer. In these devices, the thermal energy is transferred to the drying materials by the flowing warm drying medium (convection). The heat is transferred to the drying medium in a heat exchan-ger. Because the drying process is very energy demanding, it is appropriate to reduced the required energy. This can be done by regenerating heat and water. In the heat exchanger, part of the heat can be gained from the flowing exhaust medium. If a condensation of evaporated water in the exchanger occurs, the latent heat of the water is released. The gained heat is used to preheat the drying medium and thereby to reduce the required energy.
Biomass drying
Kroupa, Zdeněk ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with drying of biomass and balance calculation of specified drying equipment. The task is to calculate the amount of flue gas needed to dry 170 kg of fermentation with a moisture content of 50% to 15%.
Horečky
Potůčková, Kristýna ; Mašek, Radomír (referee) ; Marek, Jiří (advisor)
The matter of the Horečky project is complex called Art in Horečky,which is complex strategy how to get the people interested in arts to the area. Project designs gallery, house for artist, artistic path in nature...
Usability of stillage from ethanol production
Audy, Dan ; Večeř, Marek (referee) ; Leštinský, Pavel (advisor)
This work solves the use of stillage from ethanol production. Also solves processing into material DDGS and then solves the material and energy balance. This material and energy balance was calculated for 7070 kg of stillage per hour. The final energy requirements of the process were based on the amount of stillage produced to obtain 1 m3 of ethanol. The results of this work offer an insight to the problems of processing stillage. Thanks to conversion for 1 m3 of produced ethanol, results is also offerring the possibility of fast conversion of an approximate energy needed for devices of other capacities.
Sušárny ovoce v přidružené lesní výrobě
Peterka, Lukáš
The aim of this final thesis is to emphasize the advantages of using classic drying ovens in order to find out what types of drying ovens exist, describe them, and propose an optimal solution. The work is focused on the construction of old dryers that do not need electricity or other fossil energetic sources, possible to be built on owned or leased land. Based on the gained knowledge, the alternative proposal was designed and can be adapted and can be adapted to the time, financial and also professional requirements of its implementation. The work contains a small analysis of the purchased products associated with forest industry. The economic aspect is also taken into account in order to get an awareness of costs and possible profits. The goal is therefore to provide the inspiration for an alternative or additional use for the owners of small or a larger forest lands. The main contribution of this work is the alternative design of the dryer, its budget and plan, which is possible to implement for a better farming management.
Analýza provozních a ekonomických ukazatelů pásové sušárny zemědělských komodit
Tichý, Michal
The thesis is focused on an analysis of operational and the economic indicators of belt dryer for agricultural commodities and factors which influence these indicators. In company Agros Haná s.r.o. had measured three consecutive dryings of corn for gains on a dryer line (years 2016, 2017, 2018). On the basis of the measured values were established the energy consuptions and the operating costs of a dryer for each of the years. In additional, the individual factors influencing the amount of drying costs were analysed. The humidity of the corn during harvest proved to be one of the main factors, the temperature of drying dependant on the ambient air temperature was determined to be another decisive factor.
Studium vlivu podmínek sušení na senzorické parametry
Fajgara, David
This bachelor thesis focuses on different drying methods, moisture content of food and overview of sensory evaluation. The experiment was conducted on four different types of apples (Evelina, Red Prince, Golden Delicious and Spartan). The drying process was performed by two methods with various temperature and time settings (food dryer set to 35 °C, 55 °C, 70 °C and freeze-drying for 48 hours, 72 hours and 168 hours). The evaluator evaluated the shape, color, smell, taste, consistency and overall impression of dried apples. The best results were obtained with freeze-drying for 72 hours, which succeeded in most categories, including the overall impression. The results of various methods, temperature and time settings differed by 40 %, which means apples dried in freeze-drying process were almost two times as attractive as apples dried in food dryer.
